Christ Be Beside me.
This is an occasion for all of us – especially in families – to pray more intensely for each other and especially for those who have succumbed to the illness. We should pray also for those at the front lines – especially doctors, nurses and medical staff and other carers, including clergy – that the Lord will protect them as they place their own wellbeing at risk in the service of all.
God of Love, we the people of St Anthony’s turn to you with prayerful hearts and with confidence in your loving presence among us now and in every moment of our lives. We stand before you as a people of hope, trusting in your care and protection. May we be comforted by your love in these anxious times.
May your peace be with us and enfold us today, tomorrow and during the time ahead.
Amen
Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Students,
The phrase, “we live in challenging times!” could never be more true. For our students, for you as parents and carers and for the staff of our school community the rapidly changing educational landscape has presented us all with a learning environment that looks, sounds and feels very different to what we perceive to be the norm. Phrases like ‘COVID-19, social distancing, self-isolation, remote learning, online learning platform, SAP Learning Hub’ have now become a part of our normal vernacular.
As a school community we are continuing to respond to the challenges of providing a remote learning model that supports all of our students and their families. We certainly are aware of the high expectations we have placed on the parents to support students who are accessing learning from home. With this in mind the school has created a website called SAP Home Learning Hub that will further support the learning for all families. The purpose behind the creation of the Home Learning Hub website is to have ‘one-stop source of truth’ that families will be able to access to gain a clear understanding of the expectations for students, teachers and parents; download and print the outlined learning activities for the week; access useful links and additional learning apps; clarify questions using our general FAQ’s link; as well as providing feedback to the school.
The ‘SAP Home Learning Hub’ website is the next step in our journey as we continue to respond to and support the needs of our school community. I am sure, as you access the site, you will appreciate the enormous amount of work that our staff have dedicated to and will continue to dedicate to providing the best possible learning environment for the whole school community. We are proud of ‘The Hub’ and I am very proud of the staff. I stand in awe of their flexibility and their passion to do what is in the best interests of the students and families. They certainly deserve your love and appreciation.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the wonderful kind words of encouragement from the parent community. Your support and gratitude is much needed and very much appreciated.
God bless and take care.
