Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Students,
As we move deeper into Term 2, many of us may be feeling the weight of a particularly full calendar. Between extra-curricular activities, parent information evenings, interviews, and school celebrations, it’s understandable that life can begin to feel overwhelming. In the midst of this busyness, we are reminded of the gift we have in belonging to the St Anthony’s community — a community grounded in faith, care, and support for one another.
St Anthony’s Feast Day
Last Friday, we came together as a Catholic community to celebrate the Feast Day of our patron saint, St Anthony of Padua. It was a joyful and faith-filled occasion that highlighted the strong sense of belonging and community spirit that defines our school.
A sincere thank you to Mrs Smith and our Spirituality Team for preparing such a beautiful liturgy. Coming together in prayer is one of the most meaningful ways we can nurture the spiritual growth of our children and school community. The readings served as a timely reminder of our shared calling to live like St Anthony – with kindness, generosity, and a commitment to being the best version of ourselves each day.
It was heartening to see so many parents, carers, and grandparents join us for the celebrations. Your presence was deeply appreciated and truly enriched the day. I would also like to express my gratitude to the parent volunteers who generously gave their time to coordinate and cook the sausage sizzle – a much-loved tradition that students eagerly anticipate each year.
Semester One Student Reports
Teachers have now finalised Semester One student reports, which will be available on Compass from Thursday, 19 June. These reports offer a valuable opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the learning growth and achievements your child has made throughout the first half of the school year.
I extend my sincere thanks to our dedicated teachers and Stage Leaders who have worked tirelessly to complete these reports with care and professionalism.
Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place in Week 9, from Monday, 23 June to Wednesday, 25 June. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to book a time to meet with your child’s teacher. These conversations are important moments to discuss your child’s progress, affirm their efforts, and work together to support their ongoing learning journey.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our school. May the example of St Anthony continue to inspire us all in our words and actions.
Take Care
Mr Justin Devlin
Principal

What a wonderful day we had celebrating the feast day of our patron, St. Anthony last Friday. The day began with a reverent whole-school liturgy, where we gathered in reflection and prayer.
A highlight of our celebration was the St. Anthony's Awards, honouring students who have shown outstanding service to others. A huge congratulations to all our award recipients! Your kindness and dedication are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the fantastic work!
The day concluded with a joyful sausage sizzle picnic lunch with family and friends. It was so lovely to see our community come together.
A massive thank you to our incredible P&F for generously donating the sausage sandwiches. We also send a huge shout-out to our dedicated parent volunteers who braved the cold to cook the BBQ and serve lunch to all our students. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!

Sacramental Programs
Religious Education is a priority in Catholic schools. It provides the knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith and outlines what is needed to live a Catholic life. Sacramental programs are Parish based, Parish coordinated, family focused and school supported.
Each year the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation are celebrated in the Parish.
A Parish based program caters to the needs of all participants. In this way children from all schools receive the same preparation for each sacrament.
The Parish based, family focused approach to Sacramental programs is widely used throughout Australia as the preferred approach. This approach acknowledges the important role of parents and families in the whole preparation process. Parents are the first educators of children in the faith and traditions of the Catholic Church. Parents involvement in Sacramental preparation is crucial in shaping the values and attitudes of each child. So it is vital, for the continual spiritual growth of the child, that the families involve themselves in the Sacramental life of Parish.
