Clean Up Schools
Last week our school participated in the Clean Up Schools event. It was a great way to inspire our students to learn about the impact of rubbish on their local environment while playing an active role in their community. On Thursday, the Year Six Environment Group as well as a group of infant children went out with Mrs. Knight and Mrs. Newton to clean up the boardwalk along the creek, the carpark and Saint Mary MacKillop Lane.
On Friday, all of our students participated in a whole school clean up which actually showed that our children are very good at keeping the playground clean and tidy. We will continue to be mindful of our environment with a focus on making sure our rubbish is properly sorted to reduce our landfill.
