Principal's Message
Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and Students,
On behalf of Fr. Peter, our parish priest, the staff, and the entire school community, I extend a warm welcome to the new school year. I hope you all had a rejuvenating holiday and are now prepared for what promises to be an exciting year ahead at St. Anthony’s.
It is always a joy to see the familiar, smiling faces of our students as they return for a new year of learning and growth. The positive energy that permeated throughout the school during the last week reflects the enthusiasm we all share for being back at St. Anthony’s. A special welcome goes out to all the families who have chosen St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish Primary School for their child’s education this year. We are delighted to have you become a part of our school and parish family.
I would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members: Mrs. Maria Chambour, Miss Sarah Napier, and Mrs. Susan Roberts. Your presence enriches our community, and we look forward to working together to nurture our students' minds and spirits.
As the Principal of St. Anthony’s, I see our school as a community built on the foundation of faith and collaboration. It is my responsibility to partner with the school community to ensure that our children learn and grow in a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their faith and develop meaningful connections with their peers.
Prayer is a vital aspect of our identity as a Catholic school. This year, Pope Francis has emphasised the importance of prayer in our daily lives, calling it a privileged time to rediscover its value and significance. As we navigate the challenges of the digital age, let us not forget the power of prayer to guide and sustain us.
One of the ways we cultivate a culture of prayer in our school is through the daily recitation of our school prayer. It is a simple yet profound tradition that reminds us of our connection to each other and to the divine.
O God
We honour the memory of St Anthony, your devoted servant.
May his spiritual help make us strong in your service to do good for others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
St Anthony Pray for Us.
St Mary of the Cross Pray for Us.
