The staff at St Anthony's have notice a high number of students arriving to school late or being picked up early. 

Regular attendance by each child is a legal requirement. Therefore, parents and the school must assume the responsibility of regular attendance. 

PARENTS ARE ADVISED THAT LATE ARRIVALS AND EARLY DEPARTURES ARE DISCOURAGED UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BECAUSE

• Of the legal requirement of regular school attendance
• Of the interruption to class routines and learning
• Of the negative impact and disruption to children’s learning and development.

While parents are legally responsible for the regular attendance of their children, school staff, monitor part or whole day absences as part of their duty of care.

Please note that students should only be picked up early during school hours in exceptional circumstances.
